TruStone Financial Foundation Donates to Kindred Kitties

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Sept. 17, 2019) — In celebration of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, each branch of the credit union is selecting a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation from the TruStone Financial Foundation. As part of this initiative, TruStone Financial’s Northside branch in Kenosha, Wis. recently selected Kindred Kitties to receive a donation from the Foundation.

Kindred Kitties is an all-volunteer rescue whose mission is to proactively address the plight of homeless cats. It finds permanent homes for cats and kittens, reduces the stray cat population through neutering and promotes responsible pet ownership with educational programs.

Cathy McDowell, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Kindred Kitties, thanked TruStone Financial for the donation. “This will go a long way to help us both enhance our rescue efforts and expand our reach in the Kenosha community that we serve,” she said.

“All of us are pet lovers, so Kindred Kitties was an easy choice for the donation,” Linda Finch, manager of the Northside Kenosha branch of TruStone Financial, said of her team. “Reducing the stray cat population is an important public service, and finding homes for the cats gives people the opportunity to appreciate the joys of pet ownership.”
