TruStone Financial Provides Junior Achievement Programming to Elementary Students


PLYMOUTH, Minn. (May 15, 2019)– TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union employees recently taught Junior Achievement classes to first grade students at Birchview Elementary in Plymouth, Minnesota. All costs associated with this JA programming were paid for by a grant from the TruStone Financial Foundation.

“At Junior Achievement, we value  partnering with members of the community to deliver our core curriculum of financial literacy, career and college readiness, and entrepeneurship,” said Stacy McDonald, Program Manager at Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. “We believe that our students, our communities and our global economy grow stronger when more voices and experiences are shared. We are extremely fortunate to have volunteers from TruStone Financial inspiring our students.”

TruStone Financial looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. “This is the third year TruStone has worked with Junior Achievement and Birchview Elementary,” said Steve Steen, TruStone Financial’s Chief Business Officer. “It’s rewarding not only to partner with an organization that does as much good for the Midwest as Junior Achievement does, but also to give back to the schools and students in our communities.”
