Avoid Late or Returned Fees

Avoid Late or Returned Fees

With overdraft options, bill payments could
be covered to help avoid late fees.

Consider the following four options to have more control of your life’s unexpected expenses:

Automatic Savings Transfers

Link your checking and savings accounts so if your checking account gets overdrawn, we’ll automatically move money from your savings account to cover it.

This service includes: an automatic transfer from your designated savings account to your checking account in any sum necessary to cover overdrafts up to the available balance in the savings account. All transfers to the checking account will be in increments of $100 up to the available balance in the savings account. All transfers shall be under the same member number.

Line of Credit

Apply for a line of credit1 to ensure you always have the money available to spend when you need it. If you overdraw your checking account, money will advance from your approved line of credit.

Overdraft Privilege

Overdraft Privilegeallows you to overdraw your account up to the disclosed limit for a fee on checks, bill pay items and recurring debits.

  • A $30 fee will be assessed for each overdraft

  • Total overdrafts cannot exceed your disclosed amount, including fees

  • Does not require credit approval

Even if you have overdraft coverage, such as a transfer from another account, Overdraft Privilege is still available as secondary coverage if the other overdraft sources are exhausted.

**This privilege does not apply to minor accounts, trust accounts, special accounts and HSAs.

2Overdraft payment by the credit union is a discretionary courtesy and not a right of the member or an obligation of the credit union. This privilege for consumer share draft accounts will be limited to a maximum amount of $1000 overdraft (negative) balance. Transaction types that are eligible for Overdraft Privilege include, and are limited to: ACH transactions, debit card transactions, drafts and On-Us checks at the teller counter. For one-time debit card transactions, you must have previously opted-in for Overdraft Privilege or the transaction will be declined. You must bring your account balance positive within every 30-day period for a minimum period of 24 hours. The credit union, at its discretion, can cancel this protection and cease paying overdrafts at any time without prior notice of reason or cause.

Extended Coverage

With Extended Coverage, this service is available to cover overdrafts caused by ATM and one-time debit card transactions in addition to check, bill pay items and recurring debits.
