TruStone Financial Foundation Donates to the Cudahy School District’s Transition Program

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Aug. 27, 2019)   In celebration of TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union’s 80th anniversary, each branch of the credit union is selecting a local charity to receive a $1,000 donation from the TruStone Financial Foundation. As part of this initiative, TruStone Financial’s Cudahy branch recently selected Cudahy School District’s Transition program to receive a donation from the Foundation.

The Transition program is a part of the district’s special education program. It supports special education students ages 18 to 21 years old as they transition into the adult world through community and classroom activities that teach important life skills.

Dan Dzikowski, manager of the Cudahy TruStone Financial branch, said his branch picked the program to help maintain strong ties within Cudahy schools. He added, “Helping special education students after they reach the age of 18 is a mission worthy of the TruStone Foundation’s funds.”

Jennifer Shohoney, Director of Student Services for the Cudahy School District, thanked TruStone Financial for the donation. “On behalf of the School District of Cudahy, the Special Education Team is honored to receive this generous donation from TruStone Financial for our Transition program,” she said. “The students and the staff are extremely grateful.”
